INVITATION OF APPLICATIONS FOR THE NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR PERSONS WITH Differently abled (2011-12)
Number of Scholarship:
1000 to provide financial assistance to the differently-abled students to enable them to pursue professional or technical courses from recognized institutes and get employed/self-employed.
These scholarships will be available for studies in India, for all differently-abled students who are covered under the Persons with Disabilities
Scholarship Fee:
2500 - 70000/-
Procedure for application:
Application in enclosed prescribed format shall be submitted at any time during an academic year to the assigned agency.
An advance copy of the application should also be submitted on line. Each applicant shall be given a registration number on receipt of the application. The screening committee shall examine these applications quarterly and the scholarship amount will be disbursed.
Along with the application the following enclosures will have to be furnished:
i) Academic record – attested copies of relevant certificates/mark sheets for the qualifying examination.
ii) Proof of annual income - Proof of income shall include last salary slip of parent/guardian, acknowledgement of income tax/income certificate e from revenue official/gazetted officer/public representative e.g. MP, MLA, MLC, Panchayat officials etc.;
iii) Attested copy of Disability certificate;
iv) Course fee receipt if any, duly paid during the academic session;
V) Receipt/Invoice of eligible assistive devices duly countersigned by the authorized signatory of the institution;
vi) In case of continuation of scholarship in a succeeding year, a copy of the mark sheet of the preceding year.

INVITATION OF APPLICATIONS FOR THE NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (2011-12)
Number of Scholarship:
500 for pursuing technical and professional courses from recognized institutions.
Financial Assistance can be given for computer with editing software for
blind/deaf graduate and post graduate students pursuing professional
courses and for support access software for cerebral palsy students
Scholarship of Rs.1000/-p.m. for hostellers and Rs.700/- p.m. for day
scholars studying in professional courses at graduation and above level,
and Rs.700/- p.m. for hostellers and Rs.400/- p.m. for day scholars
pursuing Diploma /certificate level professional. Course fee is
reimbursed upto ceiling of Rs.10,000/- per year.
The eligible students with disabilities should submit their applications for
scholarship in prescribed format duly countersigned and recommended by the
head of the institution, where they are studying, so as to reach, complete in all
respects to: National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation
(NHFDC), Red Cross Bhawan, Sector-12, Faridabad-121007 on or before
30-09-2011.
