Eligibility Criteria

Plant Operator trade: HSC (10+2) or ISC with Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), minimum 60% aggregate.

Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Welder: SSC (10th) with minimum 60% in Science and Mathematics, plus a two-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade — or one-year ITI plus one year of relevant experience where the ITI course runs shorter than two years.

All trades: English must have been studied as a subject at least up to 10th standard.

Age Limit: 18–24 years, with relaxation of 3 years (OBC-NCL), 5 years (SC/ST), and 10 years (PwBD); relaxations are cumulative where applicable.

Bonus Marks: Project Affected Persons (PAPs) whose land was acquired for KKNPP receive 20% bonus marks at all selection stages.

Stipend and Pay After Training

  • Training duration: 2 years
  • Stipend Year 1: Rs. 20,000/month | Year 2: Rs. 22,000/month
  • One-time Book Allowance: Rs. 8,000 (no other allowance during training)
  • On completion, absorbed as Technician, Pay Level-3, basic pay Rs. 21,700 plus applicable allowances
