Eligibility
Age: Candidates must be born between 1 January 2006 and 1 July 2009, both dates inclusive. The upper age limit at enrolment is 22 years.
Education – Other Than Science Subjects:
- 12th/Intermediate/equivalent examination in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate and 50% in English, or
- Two-year vocational course with the prescribed marks, or
- Three-year diploma in eligible engineering disciplines with 50% aggregate and 50% English.
Candidates must also satisfy the prescribed domicile requirements. The rally covers candidates from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura, and separately the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Physical & Medical Standards
- Minimum height: 152 cm for male and female candidates.
- Certain North-Eastern/hilly-region candidates may receive prescribed height relaxation.
- Male candidates: minimum chest circumference 77 cm with required expansion.
- Candidates must meet the IAF's hearing, dental, eyesight and general medical standards.
Selection Process
Candidates undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written Test, Adaptability Test-I, Adaptability Test-II and Medical Examination.
