VTU Academic Calendar 2026-27 Released for 1st & 3rd Semester UG Programmes – Important Dates
Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has released the Tentative Academic Calendar for the 2026-27 academic year for 1st Semester and 3rd Semester undergraduate programmes. The calendar includes commencement of classes, semester-end dates, theory examinations, practical exams, and the start of the next semester.
Students pursuing B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Des, B.Plan, B.Sc., BBA, and BCA under VTU should take note of the important academic dates.

Important Instructions for Students
- Academic sessions will begin strictly as per the notified schedule.
- Engineering students admitted under the 2025 Scheme must complete the required Skill Lab credits before graduation.
- Colleges may conduct additional classes on weekdays or weekends to complete the required academic hours if necessary.
- Autonomous colleges must follow the VTU academic calendar unless prior approval is obtained from the University.
- Separate notifications for the detailed university examination timetable will be issued by the Registrar (Evaluation).
Readmission for 3rd Semester
Students seeking readmission to the 3rd Semester must submit their applications through their respective colleges on or before 22 September 2026.
- Applications submitted between 23 September and 30 September 2026 will attract a ₹5,000 penalty.
- No readmission applications will be accepted after 30 September 2026.
