Qualification for Teaching Positions :

UGC has promulgated UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teaching and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher education 2010 (hereinafter referred as UGC Regulations 2010) which have come in to force w.e.f. 30.06.2010. In the said Regulations, qualifications and other eligibility conditions for the aforesaid advertised posts stand revised as per the said UGC regulations 2010. The Qualifications and Scales of Pay for the Non-Teaching position Group - 'A' are as follows:

1 DEPUTY REGISTRAR i.  Master's Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven-point scale.
Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 (Grade Pay Rs.7,600/-) ii.  Five years of experience as a Lecturer in a College or a University with experience in educational administration.
  iii.  Good working knowledge of computer applications.
  OR
  Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of higher education.
  OR
  5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post in Central University / similar institution.
2 ASSISTANT REGISTRAR  a.  Good academic record plus Master's Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale.
Pay Scale : 15600-39100 (Grade Pay Rs.5,400/-) b.  Five years of experience as Section Officer / Superintendent in Central /State University offices.
3 ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN  Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science/ Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale plus a consistently good academic record, computerization of library with five years experience.
Pay scale Rs.15600-39100 (Academic Grade Pay Rs.5,400/-) Qualifying in the National Level Test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
Age limit for the posts carrying grade pay up to Rs.2800/- shall be as per Govt. of India Rules.

Abbreviation: UR – Unreserved, SC - Scheduled Caste, ST – Schedule Tribe, PWD – Persons with Disability and OBC – Other Backward Classes. 

Instruction for those who had applied in response to our earlier advertisements 
(105. July, 2009 and 106. Sept., 2009)

1. Please note that the prescribed Qualifications for teaching positions stand revised w.e.f. 28th June, 2010 as per UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for appointment of Teaching and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the maintenance of standards in Higher Education 2010 (F-3-1/2009, dt.: 28th June, 2010). Eligibility shall be considered as per the revised regulation. You may visit the UGC website :www.ugc.ac.in  for more details. Applicants for Assistant Professors are to provide documentary evidence to the effect that the Ph.D. was awarded as per UGC Regulation, 2009.
2. The Categories of reservations both for Teaching and Non-Teaching positions have been altered as per requirement under Law and UGC Guidelines.
3. The detailed eligibility criteria for Non-Teaching positions have been specified.
4. Those who had applied earlier are requested to submit fresh filled in applications updating the data by downloading the format or on-line. They are not required to pay any fees, however they must provide details of fees paid earlier to claim waiver. They need not provide copies of any document submitted earlier.
5. Applicants for posts whose reservation category has been altered making them ineligible may withdraw their application and request for refund of fees paid by providing all details.

General Instruction to the Candidates

1. No TA / DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the interview. However, the SC/ST/PWD candidates will be paid second class railway / bus fare by shortest route by cheque.
2. Eligibility of a candidate and satisfaction of any other Short-listing criteria shall be considered as in the last date of receipt for application.
3. Relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) will be provided as the Master's level in case SC/ST/PWD candidates for the post Assistant Professor / Lecturer.
4. Application fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
5. The University will not be responsible for postal delay or disruption for online submission in receipt of the application forms from the candidates.
6. (i) Application after the last date, (ii) incomplete in any respect and (iii) any fresh paper / enclosures after closing date, shall not be considered.
7. Certificate in support of experience should be in proper format i.e. it should be on the organization's letter head, bear the date of issue, specific period of work, name and designation of the issuing authority along with his signature.
8. The University shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at any time at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents / background and has suppressed the said information, then his services shall be terminated.
9. The University reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised if the circumstances so warrant. Any consequential vacancies arising at the time of interview may also be filled up from the available candidates. The number of positions is thus open to change.
10. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the University reserves the right to modify / withdraw / cancel any communication made to the candidates.
11. In case of any dispute / ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University shall be final
12. Applicants who are in employment should route their applications through proper channel.
13. Candidates should send self attested copies of certificates and mark-sheets from matriculation onwards in support of their qualifications. Originals should not be sent along with the application but these must be produced at the time of interview.
14. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the minimum essential qualifications laid down in the advertisement.
15. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview.
16. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

Note:

Applicant for Teaching Positions and other positions with academic grade pay (such as Librarian /Assistant Librarian) are required to fill up the API Score Card and send along with the application form.
